We implement Odoo for service and consulting businesses of 5–50 people. We use Odoo Online and its standard features, so the rollout is quick and updates arrive without a development project.
Odoo has dozens of apps, and one monthly price per user covers all of them. These are the ones we set up most often for service businesses.
Pipeline, quotes built from ready-made products, and e-signature. Sales sees the customer's whole history on one record.
An accepted quote opens a project. Hours are logged against tasks, and you see the project margin as the work goes on.
Invoices are built from hours, orders or contracts. E-invoices and payment reminders go out from the same place.
Monthly and annual contracts invoice themselves. Monthly recurring revenue (MRR) and churn are right there on the report.
If you also sell goods: stock levels, purchase orders and deliveries in the same system.
Forms send leads straight into the CRM, and web shop orders go straight into invoicing.
Enterprise: the app is part of Odoo's paid Enterprise edition. Icons: Odoo S.A.
A made-up but typical case. The agency has a CRM, a quote template in Word, hours in a spreadsheet and invoicing in a separate tool.
| Step | Before | In Odoo |
|---|---|---|
| Quote | Copied from the last Word quote and sent as a PDF. | Built from service products on the customer record. The customer accepts it online. |
| Project start | The project manager sets up the project by hand and asks sales what was sold. | The accepted quote opens a project with the sold hours already in it. |
| Hours | A spreadsheet goes round by email at the end of the month. | Logged against the task from a laptop or phone and approved weekly by the team lead. |
| Invoicing | Whoever does billing collects the hours and retypes every invoice. | Invoices are built from approved hours. Billing checks them and sends them. |
| Maintenance contracts | A checklist of who gets billed for what each month. | Contracts invoice themselves, and a price increase is set once on the contract. |
| Management report | Pulled together from three systems once a month. | Sales, project margin and recurring revenue on one screen. |
Two options, and both work.
Odoo handles sales, delivery and invoicing. Invoices and payments flow to your accounting software through an integration (in Finland, usually Netvisor), and your accountant carries on as before.
No separate accounting software needed. Your accountant gets their own login to Odoo.
The starting point is simple: nobody should be running a business in Excel.
An online meeting about your current tools and every step from sale to invoice. Free of charge.
A written plan: which apps we set up and what they replace, the integrations, the licence cost and the implementation price.
We build in two-week sprints. You see a working version in a test environment at the end of every sprint, not only when the project ends.
Users are trained on their own data, and support is closer than usual for the first few weeks.
Support and new apps on a monthly agreement or as you need them.
The proposal gives you the price for your number of users before you order anything.
One monthly price per user, every Odoo app included. No per-app pricing.
One-off work with a fixed scope agreed in the proposal.
Optional. A monthly agreement, full-day Odoo training or hourly work.
